Your money is never held by me. When you invest through my advisory, your assets are held directly with regulated custodians — iFAST Financial, UOB Kay Hian, Tiger Brokers or Philip Securities — all of which are licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Your funds sit in your own named account under a trust structure, fully segregated from both the platform's and my balance sheet.

What this means in practice: If any platform were to become insolvent, your assets cannot be used to satisfy their debts. They remain ring-fenced and would be returned to you or transferred to another custodian — exactly as MAS regulations require. iFAST Financial is additionally SGX-listed (SGX: AIY), providing an extra layer of regulatory accountability and public scrutiny.

My approach: I matchmake your needs to the most suitable and cost-efficient platform for your situation — not a single shelf. Portfolio performance data is referenced from iFAST as it offers the most standardised and transparent reporting available.

What's the minimum investment?
SGD 250,000 is my target starting point — I work with Premier-tier clients who have investable assets in the range that banks technically serve, but rarely serve well. If your investable assets sit between SGD 250K and SGD 3M, you likely know what it feels like to be deprioritised by a banker chasing larger tickets. That's exactly the gap I fill: the attention, personalisation and strategy that your wealth deserves — without the private banking price tag.

If you're below SGD 250K but have a clear plan to grow, I'm still open to a conversation. Every relationship starts with an honest discussion about fit.
How are you different from a robo-advisor?
Robo-advisors follow algorithms — they allocate based on a risk questionnaire and rebalance automatically. They work well for simple, low-cost index exposure. Where I'm different: I bring 15 years of relationship banking experience and human judgment to your full financial picture — not just your portfolio. I coordinate across insurance, tax considerations, estate goals, and life events. A robo can't walk you through an offshore trust structure, call you when markets are volatile, or spot that your existing insurance has a critical gap.
How often will we speak?
We conduct formal quarterly portfolio reviews — a structured update on your holdings, performance, and any rebalancing actions. Outside of that, you're welcome to reach out on an ad-hoc basis anytime there are concerns about your portfolio, a market event, or a life change that might affect your plan. You won't be left waiting for an annual review when things move.
Are my assets protected if the preferred platform fails?
Yes — and this is one of the most important things to understand before investing. Regardless of which platform I recommend — iFAST Financial, UOB Kay Hian, Tiger Brokers, or Philip Securities — your assets are never held by me. They are held in your own name directly with the custodian, fully segregated from both the platform's and PromiseLand's balance sheets.

Under MAS regulations, custodian-held client assets are ring-fenced and cannot be used to satisfy the debts of the platform or adviser. In the unlikely event of a platform's insolvency, your holdings would be protected and either returned to you or transferred to another custodian — your money does not form part of their estate.

Each platform I work with carries its own layer of protection:

iFAST Financial — SGX-listed (SGX: AIY), MAS-licensed Capital Markets Services holder. Client assets are held in trust, independently audited and publicly accountable.
UOB Kay Hian — A subsidiary of United Overseas Bank Group, one of Singapore's largest banks, MAS-regulated and SGX-member.
Tiger Brokers (Singapore) — MAS-licensed, client assets held in segregated custody accounts. Additional investor protection through SIPC membership for US securities.
Philip Securities (FAME) — Part of the PhillipCapital Group, one of Asia's largest independent financial groups, MAS-regulated with over 50 years in the industry.

How exactly do you charge?

My compensation model is designed to align my interests directly with the growth of your portfolio, stripping away the friction of hidden costs. Here is exactly how it works:

  • Zero Upfront Charges: I operate on a 0% upfront charge model. There are no hidden entry loads and no sales charges. This ensures that every dollar you invest goes to work in the market from day one.
  • AUA-Based Management Fee: My primary ongoing charge is a managed fee based on Assets Under Advice (AUA). The exact percentage is tiered depending on the total size of the portfolio I am advising on for you, which works out to a blended average of 1% p.a.
Do you work with clients outside Singapore?
Yes — a meaningful portion of my client base is international, particularly across ASEAN. I have deep experience working with Indonesian residents on tax-compliant offshore structuring, as well as clients across Malaysia, Hong Kong, and beyond. Regulatory requirements vary by jurisdiction and we'll walk through any applicable constraints during our initial call.
