💡
Why I moved to Promiseland: After 15 years, I saw firsthand how upfront charges, commission-driven incentives and limited product shelves were silently eroding client wealth. Joining Promiseland Financial Advisory Pte. Ltd. was a decision to put clients first — full transparency, no upfront costs, and access to the world's best low-cost instruments across multiple platforms. My advice is now truly unconflicted.
My 3 Core Principles
🎯
Consultative, Not Transactional
I don't lead with products. I start with your goals, timeline and risk tolerance - then build a portfolio tailored to you, not to a sales target. Every recommendation comes with a clear rationale. You see the full picture before any trade is made. Advice over product, always.
💰
Drive Down Cost, Maximise Return
Banks charge 2–5% upfront and 1–2% p.a. in annual management fees. I use low-cost ETFs at 0.03–0.20% p.a. with 0% upfront charge. On SGD 500k, that's up to SGD 25,000 saved before you earn a cent. Cost efficiency is returns you keep.
🌐
Global Reach, Personal Touch
My client base is international - Singapore residents, expatriates, and overseas nationals. I understand cross-border complexity: multi-currency portfolios, CPFIS, SRS, and offshore wealth structures. 15 years of both onshore and international advisory experience informs every conversation.

0% Upfront Charge
Every dollar deployed from day one, compounding immediately
Global ETF Access
Vanguard, iShares, Schwab at 0.03–0.20% p.a. - banks rarely offer these
15 Years Experience
HSBC · DBS · UOB - consultative advice, never product-driven
Real-Time Dashboard
Live P&L visibility — every position, gain and dividend, updated daily
International Expertise
Multi-currency, CPFIS, SRS and cross-border wealth structures
Aligned Incentives
Managed fee model - my income is tied to your results, not fund commissions
🏦 Traditional Bank Relationship Manager
1–5% Upfront Fee
Ranging from 1-5% with inconsistent fee schedules depending on T&C - often buried in the fine print
In-House Products Only
Low-cost global ETFs rarely offered - low bank margin means no incentive
Sales Targets First
Product recommendations can be driven by commission quotas, not your goals
1–2% p.a. Hidden Fees
Embedded in fund expense ratios - silently eroding returns year after year
High RM Turnover
Your context, preferences and portfolio history lost every time they move on
No Client Outcome KPI
Your portfolio performance is never measured in any bank's RM appraisal or KPI - the RM's success is independent of yours

Methodology & Notes
How These Returns Are Calculated
Data source: All figures are extracted directly from the live iFAST Financial platform as at 23 May 2026. P&L is calculated by iFAST using the formula: Current Portfolio Valuation + Outflows + Dividends/Coupon Payouts + Accrued Bond Interest − Inflows = Net P&L Since Inception.
Annualised Return (CAGR): Where holding period is ≥1 month, returns are compounded and annualised using the formula (1 + simple return)^(12/months) − 1. For very short periods (Client J, K), the annualised figure is mathematically derived but should not be extrapolated — it reflects the arithmetic of compounding a short-term result.
Currency: All current portfolio valuations and P&L are shown in SGD equivalent as reported by iFAST. Client 1 and 2 hold multi-currency positions; their SGD P&L reflects mark-to-market exchange rates at the data extraction date.
Blended Return: The ~9.9% p.a. blended annualised return is a capital-weighted average across all 11 clients, proportional to inflows. It represents the overall portfolio management result, not a fund NAV.
Important: This document is prepared by Alvin Tan, Promiseland Financial Advisory Pte. Ltd., MAS-licensed financial adviser operating on the iFAST Financial platform. All client identities are fully anonymised. Portfolio data reflects unrealised positions subject to daily market movement. Past performance is not indicative of future results. This document does not constitute an offer, solicitation or financial advice. Investments involve risk including loss of principal. iFAST Corporation Ltd (SGX: AIY) serves as the platform custodian. Standard Chartered Bank holds client assets in MAS-mandated segregated trust accounts.

MAS Regulatory Requirements & Client Protection
What MAS Requires of iFAST as a CMS Licensee
Under Singapore's Securities and Futures Act (SFA), iFAST holds a Capital Markets Services (CMS) Licence — the same regulatory framework that governs all broker-dealers, custodians and fund platforms in Singapore. The requirements are stringent, and iFAST vastly exceeds every minimum threshold.

Why This Protects You
🔐
Your Assets Are Not iFAST's Assets
MAS law mandates that all client securities and cash are held in segregated trust accounts, entirely separate from iFAST's balance sheet. Standard Chartered Bank is appointed Global Custodian. Even if iFAST were wound down, your investments are protected.
📋
SGX Listed = Maximum Transparency
As an SGX Mainboard listed company (AIY), iFAST publishes quarterly earnings, annual reports, and all material developments. This level of disclosure exceeds what most private financial firms in Singapore are required to provide.
🏦
They Own a Real Bank — UK Licensed
iFAST Global Bank is a fully licensed UK bank regulated by the FCA — not a fintech startup. It turned profitable in FY2025, demonstrating real banking-grade operational rigour behind the group.
